A man's body was found on the railway tracks at Hadapsar the previous night.

The man, identified as Bhimrao Maruti Kale (56), was a resident of the nearby railway colony in Hadapsar.

According to police reports, a few men noticed the body below a train standing on the tracks around 10 pm.

Kale's body was removed from below the train and rushed to the railway hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.

At the time of going to the press, Kale's body was sent for post mortem examination at Sassoon General Hospital. Investigations were being made how his body ended up on the tracks.
