Congressman Priya Krishna wins the Govindrajnagar by-poll elections defeating his rival from the BJP, Murzai Minister V Somanna. Krishna won by a huge margin of 5,239 votes.
Bangalore: Congressman Priya Krishna wins the Govindrajnagar by-poll elections defeating his rival from the BJP, Murzai Minister V Somanna. Krishna won by a huge margin of 5,239 votes.
The 25 year old Krishna, a debutant in politics has drubbed his rival, the 59 year old, four time MLA who won the same seat with a Congress ticket in 2008 but who later jumped to the BJP just before the polls. Somanna won a berth in the State BJP Government because of this move.
