Bike-borne assailant was renowned for looting policemen

He is an extraordinary criminal because his victims weren't ordinary people. A bike-borne gangster, renowned for attacking and looting cops was held near Alipur in north Delhi late on Sunday night.

According to police sources the assailant was roaming in the area along with his two accomplices on a motorcycle when he was intercepted by police personnel. The two associates managed to escape taking cover in the darkness. The incident occurred near a CNG service station in Alipur industrial area, on the road that leads to Narela.u00a0

"In the recent past several of our police personnel had become the victims of these bikers. They had looted many cops who were returning home late at night. A team of policemen from Narela and Alipur were pressed into service to nab them.

On Sunday night Narela police discovered three persons who were travelling on a bike with the headlight off. Police indicated them to stop but instead they accelerated in a bid to flee. Finally, they were overpowered. Two of the gang members fled from the scene," said the police source.
