The ubiquitous dal bati choorma, a favourite especially during the monsoons, is a mu00e9lange of dals tempered in ghee. The batis are baked wheat flour balls roasted and mashed in melted ghee, best relished with jaggery, crushed nuts and castor sugar called churma. On your traditional Marwari thali you will find a wide array of choices to savour, including a delightful selection of sweets cooked in pure ghee. The melt-in-your-mouth desserts include a variety from exotic dried fruit dumplings popularly known as gund pak. Then, there'su00a0 badam lounj or rich almond milk cakes garnished with varq.
