New Delhi: The Delhi government on Tuesday junked the controversial Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor - a much-vaunted project of the then Shiela Dikshit-led Congress government in the capital.

"In the wake of public demand and increase in accidents (on the stretch), we have decided that the BRT be scrapped. The cabinet has given in-principle nod to scrap it," Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said here.
