Delhi steps up heatwave counter plan, CM Gupta flags off 13 mobile relief units

The government also released a Heat Action Plan booklet and reviewed water management systems to ensure uninterrupted supply and better preparedness for the summer season

To tackle rising temperatures in the capital, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta flagged off 13 Mobile Heat Relief Units today from the Delhi Secretariat. These vans will move across Delhi to help people affected by extreme heat conditions, reported ANI.

The units will provide clean drinking water, ORS packets for dehydration, first aid support, cotton gamchas (towels) and caps for extreme heat and sun protection. Officials said the aim is to deliver quick help directly to citizens in vulnerable areas.
