India has asked the US to "temporarily" hand over Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist and a key conspirator in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, David Headley for a year and extradite his accomplice Tahawwur Hussain Rana to get more information about the conspiracy hatched to carry out the terror attacks.
India has conveyed to the American interlocutors to “temporarily” hand over Headley for a year after the US expressed its inability to extradite him.u00a0
The request was made during the Indo-US Homeland Security Dialogue held in Washington between May 20-22, and the US interlocutors have reportedly assured to actively consider the request. If the US agrees to hand over Headley, it would be the second time that India would get access to the Pakistan-American terrorist.
