Taking serious note of the series of stories published by MiD DAY on the problem of malnutrition in the state, the Governor of Maharashtra K Sankaranarayanan conducted a high-level meeting with relevant ministers and bureaucrats in Pune on Monday.
Among those who attended the meeting were state NCP President Madhukar Pichad, Tribal Development Minister Rajendra Gavit, Health Minister Suresh Shetty, and Women and Child Development Minister Varsha Gaikwad.

Big brother is watching: Governor Sankaranarayanan is believed to have told the ministers that the President is keenly monitoring the implementation of various programmes in scheduled areas, and urgent steps must be taken to reduce the incidence of malnutrition in Maharashtra
