Rohan Murthy, rigged out in ethnic Mysore attire, stole the show at his sister Akshata's wedding yesterday.

It was a study in contrast as Rohan stood beside his father N R Narayana Murthy to receive the guests.

Though Infosys' chief mentor had worn the Mysore Peta during the wedding, he was dressed in a suit for the reception. His son, on the other hand, was culturally complete wearing a Mysore Peta (headgear), silk dhoti and kurta. In fact, he was dressed as bridegrooms from Mysore do. With the result that some of the invitees mistook Rohan for the groom.

An embarrassed Rohan told MiD DAY, "They asked me if I was the groom. Then I joined my father who introduced me to the visitors."

Asked about his marriage plans, he blushed, saying: "I'm 26. Not really in a hurry." A PhD holder from Harvard, Rohan is now doing his MBA in the US.
