Campus chaos: An injured student recuperates in hospital |
All the injured were rushed to the Sushruta Trauma Centre where they are recuperating.
However, the police said the incident seemed planned.
Cops said they received a call from the school authorities at around 10 am that around 15 boys had forcibly entered the school compound and were thrashing students. "For the next eight to ten minutes, the boys thrashed the three students and set a motorcycle and bicycle on fire before fleeing the spot," said a cop from the Timarpur police station.
The injured boys have been identified as Sudhir, Vikas and Jitender, all of them students of Class XI.
Cops said out of the 15 intruders, a few were former students of the school who had been suspended for indulging in violence. They have been identified as Rahul, Santram, Harish, Mahesh and Satyendra.
