The Israeli defence attache's wife who was injured in a car blast here a day earlier was stable Tuesday, doctors said. She has been operated upon and shrapnel removed from her spine.

A surgery on her spinal cord was performed Monday night, said doctors at Delhi's Primus Hospital where she is admitted.
