Sub-Inspector Rao Ganesh's injuries would have been more severe after he was assaulted by Irani girls Azara Faizle and Farima, who were stopped by him for drink driving on Wednesday at Cubbon Road. It has emerged that the girl who bit the cop's arm before punching him has a black belt in karate. The girls who have been lodged in Central Jail have been living on milk and day since their arrest as they can'tu00a0have Kannada staples that are served in jail. "The government has certain privileges for inmates of other nationalities like providing them milk and bread for breakfast," explained MC Vishwanath Iyer, Superintendent of Central Jail.
He added that foreigners are kept in separate cells for security purposes and given carpets and bed sheets for sleeping. "Indian inmates get chitranna (lemon rice) and puliogare (tamarind rice) as their breakfast," explained Iyer.
