DMK president M Karunanidhi is scheduled to fly to the Capital on his 88th birthday on Friday, where he is likely to meet his daughter MK Kanimozhi. The latter is currently lodged in Tihar jail in connection with the 2G spectrum allocation case. This would be the second visit by Karunanidhi in the last few days to meet his daughter.

Kaniomozhi was sent to Tihar jail after a CBI court rejected her bail plea and ordered her arrest on May 20 in connection with the transfer of Rs 200 crore from 2G spectrum scam co-accused Shahid Balwa's DB Realty to Kalaignar TV, in which the DMK MP holds a 20 per cent stake.
