If you can't rock it, then rock with them. That's one thing you can do at this rock fest being held in the Capital today (like you have for years before). The Jack Daniel's Rock Awards are back with their sixth edition. And while the awards will be given out only next month in Mumbai, music aficionados in Delhi will get to jive to the music by winners of this season.
So on stage will be Qayaas ufffd the band from Pakistan which was awarded the Critics choice for best band of the year award. Qayaas is the first progressive alternative rock band from Pakistan. According to the band, the fact that music is looked down upon as an art form is what gives their music a sense of rebellion.
who are they?
Qayaas means 'deliberation' and has been named so as it is the coming together of individual deliberation on inspirational moments, relationships or life in general that take the form of musical notes. Their music tends to explore emotions, specific moments, certain relationships and particular events which resonate powerfully as one tries to understand oneself and the world around. The band has released one music video ufffd Tanha ufffd which is currently doing the rounds on Pakistani music channels. Their debut album comprising 12 songs is complete and will be releasing soon.
