Sanjeev, a businessman and the son of arms dealer Suresh Nanda, was found guilty of mowing down six persons, including three policemen in the early hours of January 10, 1999 in the Lodhi Colony.<br /><br />"The BMW car, driven by Nanda, remains at the Lodhi Road police station as it is still a case property. We haven't received any application from the Nanda family claiming the car's possession as of now," said a senior police officer. <br /><br />Nanda, who received a five-year sentence in the case, which was later reduced to two years by the Delhi High Court, is out of jail now after serving his term. <br /><br />Another case in point is that of Utsav Bhasin, son of a Haryana-based industrialist, who was accused of knocking down and killing a motorcyclist and leaving another injured while driving a BMW on September 11, 2008 near the Moolchand flyover in south Delhi. He is currently out on bail. "The car has been released by the police on court's order after its owner, M K Bhasin, who runs a V-Belt factory in Sonepat, staked claim" said a senior police officer.</p>
