Madhya Pradesh: Massive fire breaks out in firecracker factory, several injured

A massive fire has broke our in Harda, Madhya Pradesh in which several people are injured and some are feared trapped. The fire erupted after a blast in a firecracker factory in Harda. The explosion has resulted in severe damages to the factory premises. Fire tenders have reached the spot.





People injured in the explosion are being shifted to a hospital for treatment, ANI reported.

The blast in the firecracker factory resulted to the severe fire, engulfing not only the factory but surrounding buildings. Reportedly, thick smoke and flames can be seen billowing into the sky, raising concerns about the safety of nearby residents.

The number of injured is yet to be determined by the authorities and fire fighting operations are underway. 

More details awaited in the incident.

Meanwhile in Mumbai, a fire broke out in street number 3 of Kamathipur area in Grant Road. The fire broke out on the second floor of a building. Five fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and fire fighting operations are underway. No one has been reported injured in the fire incident yet, Mumbai Fire Department said, reported news agency ANI. 

In another fire incident in Maharashtra, on Monday night, a fire broke out on the 27th floor of a Navi Mumbai high rise. The officials further stated that no injuries or casualties have been reported until now. According to the report, the incident occurred in the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area. 

The ANI report stated that due to the fire department's prompt response to the distress call, the fire tenders reached the spot on time and currently efforts are underway to douse the fire.
