IMD forecasts heavy rain across Maharashtra for next five days

According to the forecast valid from June 24 to June 28, Mumbai, Thane and Palghar are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds at isolated places on Wednesday

Following widespread showers across Maharashtra on Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted continued rainfall activity across the state over the next five days. Heavy to very heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and parts of the Konkan region, while several districts may also experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds through June 28.
While rainfall intensity is expected to ease slightly over the following days, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to continue across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
