Body found hanging from tree near railway tracks; no suicide note found

A body was found hanging from a tree near Loni Kalbhor railway station last night. Preliminary identification carried out by the police revealed it was of 40-year-old Salil Jadhav, a resident of Jalgaon.

"We were clueless till 11 pm as we could not find any details to identify the body. Later, we found his wallet that was lying nearby. We found his identity card," said API SS Diddikar. "Nothing concrete has come out yet.

We even tried calling a few numbers mentioned in a small telephone dairy that we found inside the wallet."
The police have confirmed that Jadhav committed suicide but no suicide note was found. The police are still trying to ascertain the reason why he committed suicide.

Jadhav was working as a helper at Sugen Mega Power Project under the contractor of ABL Infrastructure. The identity number given on Jadhav's access card is 0451035, informed Daddikar.

The railway police are also trying to find out how Jadhav managed to reach Loni Kalbhor.
