For the past two years, 65-year-old Vyankat Genba Gaikwad has been coming to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) office on Lokshahi Din (Democracy Day), an open hearing of grievances, with a written complaint stating that hasn't been compensated by the civic body for his loss of land due to road widening.
But, with no one at the civic office acknowledging his complaint, Gaikwad decided to try something different to get the authority’s attention. u00a0Yesterday afternoon, he wrote his grievances with a pen on his kurta-pyjama and went to the PMC office, Shivaji Nagar. u00a0However, a security guard stopped him from entering the premises stating that he will only be allowed to enter if he changed his clothes.u00a0
