With the compartment packed with fisherfolks who had stacked their baskets, Ashish had no option but to stand on the footboard. As soon as the train left the platform, Ashish slipped and fell onto the tracks between platform two and three. The impact rendered him unconscious and he sustained a few injuries. Ashish gained consciousness a few minutes later and was rushed to the civic-run Bhagwati Hospital in Borivli by the GRP officials and the stationmaster. After administering him medical treatment, doctors discharged him at 11.20 am. &ldquo;I normally board the ladies luggage compartment even though it is crowded with fisherwomen. I slipped because there was a woman whose basket was kept near the door. I lost my balance after I stepped on her basket&rdquo;, said Ashish. &ldquo;We haven&rsquo;t registered any case, as he sustained minor injuries. However, there should be a strict check by the RPF as to how an individual boarded a ladies luggage bogey,&rdquo; Shivajirao Bagal, senior police inspector, Borivli GRP. Fatherspeak &ldquo;My son has been commuting in local trains since three years. We were in tears when we heard about the incident.
