Two luxury sedans were badly damaged in the blaze
A fire broke out in a multi-storey building in the Gaondevi area of Thane early this morning. Two luxury sedans parked on the premises were badly damaged in the fire that is believed to have started because of a short circuit in the meter-box. There was no loss of life reported, while a few residents complained of suffocation and were given treatment. A total of 29 residents were evacuated immediately and the situation was brought under control by the fire brigade and disaster management team.
