Chief of the Indian Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi has begun a four-day official visit to Myanmar, scheduled from May 2 to May 5, 2026. The visit underscores India’s continued focus on strengthening defence and maritime cooperation with Myanmar as part of broader regional security engagement in the Indian Ocean Region.
High-level discussions to review defence cooperation
During the visit, Admiral Tripathi is set to hold bilateral discussions with senior leadership of the Myanmar Armed Forces.
