The theme of the next Bus Day, which will be observed on May 4, will be traffic safety and lane discipline
With the theme 'ensure traffic safety and follow lane discipline' the next Bus Day will be observed on May 4 in the corridors of Old Madras, Old Airport Road, Sarjapura Road, Bannerghatta Road, Outer Ring Road and Inner Ring Road.
Rise in numbers
According to BMTC officials, "BMTC will enforce traffic discipline and display destination boards and bus timings, which will help facilitate smooth flow of traffic."

A senior BMTC official, said, "With the start of Bus Day, the number of passengers travelling by BMTC buses have increased. Also, there has been a substantial increase in the revenue."
He added that the BMTC expects a further rise in numbers in the days to come.

Meanwhile,u00a0 the official media partner, Radio One will be conducting a contest on the Bus Day where 10 lucky BMTC passengers will stand a chance of winning Vajra passes.

The commuters will also be asked to a fill a survey form and the best suggestions/feedback can be implemented by the BMTC to improve its services.
