Bandra's latest ice cream parlour Krazy Kreamz hits the sweet spot with its chocolate thick shake named after a confectionery manufacturer
Sandwiched between Open Affair and Amore, in a tiny kiosk behind Brownie Cart on Carter Road, Krazy Kreamz is easy to miss.
We had to drive by twice and make a couple of calls before we actually spotted the place.
Once there, we had little reason to complain, though.
Manned by two attentive assistants who smile and answer questions, Krazy Kreamz comes to Mumbai after a successful outing in Pune, where it's popularly known as Cad B after their signature milkshake and ice cream by the same name they tell us.
We decide to dive right in and try the Cad B (Rs 60), and understand exactly what is it that's so special about this treat.
The Cad B is a chocolate milkshake, which is served thickly coated with Cadbury Dairy Milk shavings, and almost qualifies as ice cream by virtue of its finger-scooping thickness.
The verdict? Divine. The sweetness, consistency and temperature of this milkshake are near perfect.
Satisfied, we decide to try the Cad M (Rs 60), a variation of the former with cream. Equally good, this milkshake too has us happily buzzing on a chocolate high, and hungry for more.

Which is when the big dampener hits us they haven't started stocking the ice creams advertised on their extensive menu.
Slightly down, we decide to try out two more milkshakes, the Strawberry (Rs 80) and the Kesar Pista (Rs 80).
The Strawberry is a winner, and has just the right mix of sugar, syrup, fresh cream and real strawberry pieces.
Mmm. The Kesar Pista isn't too far behind either, though we wish they'd gone a little easy on the nuts.
But for an ice cream and milkshake joint that's got the formula spot on, despite its terrible name, which might explain why it was rechristened Cad B, these are just small grouses.
