Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee on Monday called for an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that the Pahalgam attack on April 22 was a consequence of the Prime Minister's "incapability" and "negligence," reported news agency ANI.

Speaking to the media, Banerjee further alleged that the Prime Minister has no calibre and is not even liked by a single nation.

The TMC leader stated, "Due to the carelessness of the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, terrorists entered the country and killed innocent people before leaving the scene. Prime Minister Modi should apologise to the nation, as the Pahalgam incident occurred due to his incapability and negligence... The Prime Minister has no calibre and not even a single nation likes him."

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also commented, stressing that India's true victory would be achieved when the terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam attack are apprehended and sentenced to death.

Chaturvedi said, "Operation Sindoor, launched by our army, was a fitting reply to Pakistan, which has been implicated in terrorist attacks and activities. Under Operation Sindoor, I travelled to several countries on behalf of India to present India's perspective, but I believe the real victory and celebration will only occur when those terrorists, whom we have not yet caught, are apprehended and given the death penalty. Justice will only be served to those families when these terrorists, who are still at large, are caught."

Earlier on the same day, addressing the media before the commencement of the Monsoon Session, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the successes of Operation Sindoor, stating that the world is now drawn to the "new 'Made in India' form of Indian military power," reported ANI.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister commended the Indian defence forces on the "stupendous success" of Operation Sindoor, declaring that its objectives were "100 per cent" achieved and terrorist bases were "razed in just 22 minutes."

The Prime Minister said, "This Monsoon Session is a celebration of victory. The whole world has witnessed the strength of India's military power. The target set by the Indian Army in Operation Sindoor was achieved 100 percent. Under Operation Sindoor, the houses of the masters of terrorists were razed to the ground within 22 minutes. The world has been very attracted to this new form of Made in India military power. These days, whenever I meet people of the world, the world's attraction towards the Made in India weapons being made by India is increasing."

Concurrently, both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha faced adjournments on Monday, the first day of the Monsoon Session. The Opposition pressed its demand for a discussion on the Pahalgam attack and India's response through Operation Sindoor.

Lok Sabha was adjourned until 2 PM, while the Rajya Sabha also experienced several interruptions and adjournments.
