Accused hit 25 year-old man and fled in an autorickshaw; police say they're busy and haven't looked for offenders yet; parents and employers of victim allege cops are pressurising them into not filing a complaint
A 25 year-old has been critically injured after a car hit him on Palm Beach Road in Navi Mumbai on Saturday. Ajay Dandkar, an employee of a telecommunications company was standing near a bus stop at Morage circle on Palm Beach Road, when the car (a Honda Civic MH 06 AL 132), which was reportedly being driven at a high speed, hit him and dragged him for around 20 metres. The driver of the car, along with three co-passengers, fled the spot in an autorickshaw instead of admitting the injured to a hospital.
