Police jawan injured in IED blast triggered by Naxals

<p>A police jawan was injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast triggered by Naxals in Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Narayanpur district</p>

Raipur: A police jawan on Wednesday, was injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast triggered by Naxals in Chhattisgarh's insurgency-hit Narayanpur district. The incident took place when security forces were patrolling near Amdai Ghati (valley) under Chhote Dongar police station where road construction work is underway, Narayanpur Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena told PTI.

The construction work is going on on Narayanpur-Orchha road in the Amdai region, around 350 kms away from the state capital. While the personnel were passing through a patch on the Amdai valley, the ultras detonated a powerful IED leaving constable Naresh Chaudhary injured, he said.
