Pune-Mumbai E-way collision kills three

The vehicle had been illegally ferrying nine passengers from Mumbai to Pune when it crashed on the Pune-Mumbai expressway

Three people died in an accident on the Pune-Mumbai expressway on Sunday, when a vehicle illegally ferrying nine passengers collided with a stationary truck near Kamshet. The remaining six passengers and the driver have all been transferred to a hospital with injuries.

According to the Lonavala rural police, the vehicle — a Tavera model — had been carrying passengers from Mumbai to Pune without the requisite permit.
