Rain fails to bring down mercury in Delhi

Traces of rainfall in some parts of Delhi Monday evening failed to bring down the mercury level. The minimum temperature recorded early Tuesday was eight degrees above average for this time of the year.
Traces of rainfall in some parts of Delhi Monday evening failed to bring down the mercury level. The minimum temperature recorded early Tuesday was eight degrees above average for this time of the year.
"The rain has hardly affected the temperature. In any case it was just in traces. The minimum temperature this morning was eight degrees above average at 29 degrees Celsius," an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
