Notorious rowdy Poone alias Narasimhamurthy wasu00a0hacked to death by a gang of six menu00a0on the busy Mysore Road, near Chamarajpet, this morning.<br />Poone was traveling inu00a0an SUV,u00a0near Azad Nagar, when the gang stopped his vehicle and attacked him with choppers and other lethal weapons. <br />Poone, a close confidante of Congress leader and former MLA R V Devaraj, was known for his anti-social activities in and around Chamarjapet area and was wanted by the police in several casesu00a0including murder and extortion. <br />Chamarajpet police, who are investigating the case, have seized one of the bikes which was left behind by the attackers. The police said old rivalry could haveu00a0led to the murder.<br />
