Rs 70 cr for Baramati, opposition sees red

During the monsoon session, the state finance ministry doled out Rs 168 crore for the district, of which a whopping Rs 70 crore was given to NCP bastion Baramati
After the state finance ministry gave its nod for 342 road development projects in the district, it has been revealed that of the Rs 168 crore sanctioned to the district, over Rs 70 crore has been given to Baramati taluka alone. The ministry sanctioned the funds -- to be used for construction, widening and repair of roads — during the monsoon session of the state assembly.
