Security has been stepped up around Parliament in New Delhi ahead of the start of the Monsoon Session on Monday, with additional police and paramilitary personnel deployed in anticipation of a proposed protest march by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).

The heightened security comes as CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and other activists have announced plans to march towards Parliament over alleged irregularities in the education system, including paper leaks. The protest was originally announced by climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, who was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital on Saturday after being on a prolonged hunger strike.
