A tailor's tag on the trousers of the Symantec software engineer Sarvanand Ramkrishana (27) unraveled the mystery behind his murder. The Bharati Vidyapeeth police arrested Rajesh Raut (23), Sachin Subhash Shinde (24) and Nitin Trinbak Dongre (21) and charged them with the murder of Ramkrishna on January 22. Raut and Shinde are Symantec employees, while Dongre is related to Shinde.
Body identified
Inspector Nagnath Wakude of Bharati Vidyapeeth Police station said they recovered a body of a youth on the Janury 23 in the Katraj Ghats. Inspector Wakude said, "The face was badly damaged. His trouser had a tailor's mark which said Stichwell CNI-5. From his features and the mark on his trousers (CNI-5 is a shortened version of Chennai-5). We sent our teams to Chennai. This is how we learnt who he was."
Wakude added that as per the information shared by his relatives, deceased had an HDFC debit card. "From the bank we learnt that bulk purchases had been made by swapping his debit card. The accused also made purchases worth Rs 260 from an Archies gallery, where a CCTV caught them wandering." Inspector Wakude said the three admitted to their crime yesterday.
