The motorcycle robberies

The presence of a police chowky on the Carter Road promenade has not deterred a daring gang of robbers. For the past two months, this duo, on a speeding bike, has been attacking early morning walkers and elderly women in the area, and decamping with gold jewellery and cash. Police say they are on the lookout for a stout man with curly hair and a moustache, whose description is common to all the reported cases
Even as officials of the police chowky on the Carter Road promenade regularly chase innocent groups of friends and couples from the area, a gang of two has been snatching chains from unsuspecting morning walkers for the past two months.u00a0Fifty six year-old Yatin Dossa, a businessman from Mount Mary Road was assaulted by a sudden blow to the neck by two unidentified motorcyclists last Sunday morning.
