Lucknow: Anupriya Patel, an MP of Apna Dal,&nbsp;today alleged that an attempt was made to kill her while she&nbsp;was returning from Lakhimpur in Uttar Pradesh after attending&nbsp;a function.
Anupriya alleged that a truck chased her cavalcade while&nbsp;she was returning to Lucknow after attending anniversary programme of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel at Gola last night.
The MP alleged that after a 15 km chase, the truck hit an&nbsp;escort car in which her public relation officer and security personnel got injured.
Anupriya said that she got saved due to alertness of her&nbsp;driver.
Alleging that founding national president of Apna Dal&nbsp;Sonelal Patel was killed in a similar manner, she termed the incident as serious and demanded the government proper inquiry&nbsp;in the matter and an increase in her security.
She said that a complaint has been filed at Ataria police&nbsp;station in Sitapur district in this regard.&nbsp;Apna Dal is a BJP ally.
