Intensified <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/mumbai/mumbai-news/article/mumbai-monsoon-intense-rain-spells-in-short-bursts-far-more-frequent-nowadays-23639234" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">monsoon activity</a> claimed at least seven lives and caused disruptions across the state on Thursday and Friday.&nbsp;
The deaths were reported from Sant Kabir Nagar, Kushinagar, Bulandshahr, Shamli, and Ghaziabad in separate rain-related incidents, officials said.
In Sant Kabir Nagar, two women died after being struck by lightning in separate villages. In Kushinagar, a 14-year-old was killed on a farm. In Bulandshahr, two people were killed after a wall collapsed on makeshift tents. In Ghaziabad, a three-year-old girl drowned after being swept into a waterlogged drain.
