Preparations got underway on Tuesday to rush the trapped workers to a hospital for immediate medical care following their rescue as the 41 trapped workers are just inches away from being pulled out from the Uttarkashi (Silkyara) tunnel collapse site in Uttarakhand.

Reports said that horizontal drilling through rubble has progressed to 55.3 metres. A media report said that Mattresses are being shifted to the tunnel.
