The Chief Minister said he would go in for ministry expansion after consulting BJP president Nitin Gadkari

Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said he would expand his ministry next month after the results of the by-elections for three assembly seats. The results of the April 9 bypolls for Chennapatna, Jagalur and Bangarpet constituencies will be declared on May 13.

Yeddyurappa, who has been facing renewed dissidence by partymen who have been demanding a change in leadership, had last month spoken about the expansion of his ministry after the bypolls. The Chief Minister said here that he would go in for ministry expansion after consulting with BJP president Nitin Gadkari.

He also said the state would file a petition before the Supreme Court in two or three days challenging its order to revoke the ban imposed on iron ore exports by April 20. The state's Advocate General Ashok Harnalli will file the petition, he said.
