Assam continues to battle a devastating flood crisis as the death toll has climbed to 95 after six more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours. With relentless rainfall and overflowing rivers worsening the situation, thousands of families remain stranded while rescue agencies race against time to reach marooned communities. According to official updates, more than 1.6 lakh people across 563 villages remain affected by the floods, with Sivasagar emerging as the worst-hit district. Fresh fatalities were reported from Biswanath, Sivasagar and Golaghat, while urban flooding claimed another life in Morigaon. Authorities have also reported one person missing in Udalguri, where rescue operations are continuing. The disaster has dealt a massive blow to Assam's agricultural economy.
