Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Interim Budget 2024-25 today. This is her 6th consecutive budget presentation. In her interim Budget 2024 speech, she announced that there will be no change in the tax structure. “I do not propose to make any changes relating to the taxation and propose to retain the same tax rates for direct and indirect taxes including import duties”. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in her interim Budget speech. She announced proposals for making improvements in the tax-payers services for ensuring ease in living and ease of business. She also proposed to withdraw all pending tax demands up to ₹25,000 till 2009-10 and ₹10,000 till 2014-15; benefiting 1 crore tax payers.
