A bus fell into a deep gorge near Tanda area in Jammu & Kashmir`s Akhnoor city on 30th May. The tragic accident left over 15 people dead and over 20 injured. The bus was carrying passengers from Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. They were travelling from Jammu to Shiv Khori shrine in Reasi district. The bus fell 150 feet deep into a gorge near Kali Dhar Mandir on the Jammu-Poonch highway. The injured people were taken to a local hospital in Akhnoor and Government Medical College in Jammu. The Transport Commisioner of Jammu & Kashmir Rajinder Singh Tara said that maybe the driver slept while driving..A rescue operation involving Police and locals has been launched. Watch video for more.
