There is a fresh case of fire on the sets of a popular TV show, Diya Aur Baati. This show has been particularly unfortunate as its set had caught fire last year during the shoot of a Diwali sequence, and the lead actress Deepika Singh had managed a narrow escape.

Last year, the sets of hugely popular show Comedy Nights With Kapil in Film City, Goregaon, also caught fire following a short circuit, razing it entirely to the ground. It took more than an hour and a half hour to extinguish it. The worst case of fire took place in 1990, when Tipu Sultan’s sets caught fire, killing many and maiming a few.
