My best scores in Crazy Cabbie on Facebook came while thinking about a news item ufffd International Burn a Quran Day ufffd that appeared on almost all popular websites. A church in Florida has planned the event to sympathise with 9/11 victims.
Hundreds of thoughts came crashing into my mind even as I drove through busy traffic as a Crazy Cabbie. My turns and jumps were perfect, although I wasn't concentrating on the laptop screen.
Burn a Quran Day on September 11: What does the irresponsible Church actually plan to do? Give a reason to al Qaeda-like organisations to train their guns on America. Or does it plan to brand even the non-controversial, terror-hating, peace-loving Muslim an al-Qaeda man.
Why shouldn't a Muslim - even as religiously liberal as me - be upset? Why shouldn't I protest? Those who provoke Muslims with Draw A Mohammed Day and Burn a Quran Day events are allowed to do so as their democratic right, while a Muslim reaction is religious fanaticism. Bull! I don't buy it.
America should not only stop this event NOW, but also take stringent action against the organisers. The organisers of this event are endangering lives of innocent Americans who do not agree with the idea. And endangering lives of fellow countrymen is a punishable act in every democratic nation on the face of the planet.
