Police said the incident took place at Banthara village, when an inebriated Prakash reached his home after work and had a brief altercation with his son Sailakh.

Sailakh, who was a labourer, objected to his father's habit of drinking liquor and protested the use of foul language. Enraged at this, Prakash took out a knife and stabbed his son many times.u00a0The son died on the spot due to serious intestinal injuries and excessive blood loss, police said.u00a0
