Suthakaran Sivagnanathurai, dangled more than a metre off the ground by his hair for over 23 minutes.
"My hair is strong because I usually use natural oil," the Herald Sun quoted him as saying.
The record was set in Queensland, and Sivagnanathurai says that he overcame the pain by meditating.
