The heir to the British throne and his wife Camilla gave it a try yesterday, each reading out weather reports during a visit to BBC studios in Glasgow, Scotland. <img alt="" src="/imagedata/2012/may/kate_1.jpg" style="width: 400px; height: 346px; " /> The sight of the nattily dressed Charles giving a credible performance in the unfamiliar role caused many Britons to do a double-take as he read the lunchtime news weather spot. Looking directly into the camera, he said, &ldquo;The best of the bright and dry weather will of course be in the northern isles and the far north of the mainland. So, a little hazy sunshine for the Castle of Mey in Caithness. But a cold day everywhere with temperatures of just 8C and a brisk northerly wind. Thank God it isn&rsquo;t a bank holiday.&rdquo; Palace officials say Charles and Camilla were visiting the studios to mark the 60-year anniversary of BBC TV Scotland.
