An explosion at a fireworks workshop in Thailand killed at least nine people on Wednesday, officials said. Two people were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The blast occurred in Suphan Buri province, about 95 km northwest of Bangkok in the heart of the country’s central rice-growing region. It wasn’t clear if the building was licensed to produce fireworks.
