Toyota has unveiled a mobility concept called Walk Me, a four-legged autonomous chair that walks where wheels cannot.
The device aims to address challenges faced by people with reduced mobility, such as climbing stairs, moving over uneven ground, or climbing into a car.
Unlike traditional wheelchairs, Walk Me’s four robotic limbs are capable of bending, lifting, and adjusting independently.
The design, which mimics the way goats and crabs move across uneven terrain, allows the chair to glide smoothly on flat surfaces while maintaining balance and adaptability on slopes, stairs, and gravel paths.
