Authorities in China have evacuated thousands of people along its east coast after<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/world-news/article/typhoon-dolphin-nears-landfall-china-cancels-flights-and-orders-evacuations-23643914" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"> Typhoon Dolphin</a> made landfall, bringing with it heavy rain and flooding.&nbsp;
About 167,900 people had been moved from vulnerable areas in Fujian Province, while around 215,600 people were evacuated around Shanghai.&nbsp;
Many streets in<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/news/world-news/article/shanghai-starts-chinas-biggest-covid-19-lockdown-in-2-years-23220326" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"> Shanghai,</a> the country&rsquo;s second most populous city, were flooded, and the city&rsquo;s two airports cancelled a total of 943 flights due to the typhoon.
