Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari is "out of danger" and is his condition is stable, government and his political party affiliates said yesterday.

Mian Munir Hans, President, Pakistan People's Party President, said that Zardari is still in the hospital but he is now "out of danger".

"All the tests have been completed but doctors have advised him to remain in the hospital tonight. He is expected to be released tomorrow and would stay for a few days in Dubai with his children."

Zardari travelled to Dubai on Tuesday from Pakistan for medical tests on his heart after falling ill, fuelling rumours that he might be stepping down.

Hans denied reports about president resigning saying that "since the president was undergoing heart treatment in Dubai for a long time.

I was with the president since he landed here but it's not true that President is resigning."
